Insulin syringes are printed with a U-100 or U-40 scale and a half-unit graduation on the 0.3 ml size, so small doses can be measured accurately. The textured needle holder is easy to rotate and reduces the risk of accidental puncture. Needle gauges from 0.25 mm to 0.45 mm are available.
